Hi

Brake Booster Vacuum Hose
NEVER MIND. THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED.
I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED MY NOTES BEFORE POSTING......D'uh. Can anyone tell me what size and length the vacuum hose (brake booster) is in the engine compartment. ![]() This is the hose that goes from the engine bay and then disappears underneath the car. ![]() (1984 Carrera 3.2) Thanks

I am curious too, where does it start in the engine bay?
Jim

Nevermind, found it, right next tot he Fuel Filter running out along the hard fuel lines and connected to connector with he small T fitting connected to the vacuum of the Cruise Control.
So 19MM OD. Has anyone ever try to fish it out by disconnecting it from the bottom at the tunnel then clamping a replacement hose to the end and pulling the whole thing out the engine bay or the reverse, clamping from engine bay and pulling from the bottom? Hate to splice but if that is the best route then I will. Jim

Hi
|
That brake vac hose runs into the engine bay at the same location of some of the a/c hoses. If you have your a/c hose still in place, and Jim i think you're still using your a/c, then you won't be able to pull that brake vac hose through...too tight of a fit.

That's cool/ok - I think he's (John) is an advocate of the splice.

I did this job with the engine out of the car and it was a PITA. With it in the car, it would be a major PITA.
