Question Fake Fuchs?

Can anyone tell me how to distinguish a real Fuchs from a "knock-off"? I've heard (read) mention of knock-offs on this board a number of times and am curious.

Thanks.

The real Fuchs will have a regular Porsche part number and a little fox head on the inside of the wheel.

If you want to save time and not look on the inside of the wheel........

Look at each of the five "blades" that extend from the center cap. About an inch out, the fakes are a little skinnier. Genuine ones a bit wider. Don't believe me? Look at both from about 5-10 feet away; you'll see the difference.

Also from the outside the rough areas in the black painted part are are a reminder that the wheels were sand cast then machined, not forged like the originals.
