86 Targa ?
Hey,
This forum has been very helpful in my search for a 911 thanks to you all. I found a 1986 Targa that is very clean and original, it has a power drivers seat but, it is not listed on the option code label any reason... Also do the manual passenger seats recline... Is there more room in back than the Cabs... Any other Targa thoughts or things to look for. Thanks, J |

Do a PPI if you are ready to purchase. This way you will know 99% what you are getting yourself into. 100% is not obtainable, the wrench is only human.
Off hand pull the carpets and mats for moisture intrusion/rust. Check under the engine for oil leaks. Drive her on the freeway to listen for air leaks on the top. She should idle when warm at 880-900 RPMs. Jim

There really isn't much room in any...  OK for little kids, though."Also do the manual passenger seats recline..." I don't think so...nowhere to recline to... Pull the top off (if you buy) and drive. Nothing like the open air Targa experience. I don't care what anybody says.
