QuietCar quirky question
If you IGNORE the noise deadening function of the paintable QuietCar product, is there any downside to using this material?

Well, it say light weight, but regardless it will ad some weight. If for street only, no big dealbut for track and DE that would cost you some precious seconds in 10ths.

Thanks; this is a street car, so the QuietCar is weight neutral, or even lighter than the original asphalt material that I removed.
I was wondering if it does anything detrimental, such as absorb moisture, or does it peel off, or is it impossible to get off, etc.

I'm curious too. I applied the same sort of thing to the inside of my car. I don't remember at the moment what brand it was, but it supposedly had microbeads in it that turn sound into heat. Since it is water soluble, and had water in it at the time of application, I'm wondering about any comments concerning rust between it & the metal of the body.

Exactly, Marv, that's my main concern, also.

Sorry, I can't answer your specific question, but modern auto paint is also water borne. Actually, I think most jurisdictions require it by law.
