Should I have a restrictor in the oil breather, 1983 SC engine?

Hi,

My 1983 3.0 SC engine stalls when I take off the oil filler cap, even if I set the idle higher. I read about the problem, and one thing that often is mentioned is a restrictor mounted in the oil breather line connected to the intake. So my question is if I am supposed to have that restrictor in my car?

The car is a 1972 911, so the engine is not mounted in a 911 SC.

Or could I have missed that I have another major vacuum leak? Anyone?

Thanks,

Johan

This is the part number, it goes in the hose to the boot above the throttlebody
