Would these be Welt rear spring plates?
Back to my 83 SC, I am just now getting to the rear suspension. I know these aren't stock but can anyone help identify them?

I clearly need some new bushings but are these still good despite the rust? Do they ever go bad? The car really feels solid and I realize some questions will be unanswered until I get it all apart but I am trying to economize my dollars.

Inspect them after you get them off the car. The visible rust indicates some potential corrosion (difficult separation) between the spring plate and the torsion bar splines.
If just surface rust, wire brush or blast them clean, then repaint or replate. During reassembly, apply anti-seize on the splines and the threaded adjuster. Sherwood |
