these wheels
Hey anyone have a review of these? They look real nice but should I want a race wheel on a street car?

I think it's fine to run "race" wheels on the street. I'd be more concerned about whether or not I wanted to run 18" wheels on my car.
BTW, the seller is a Pelican regular. You can PM him directly. He's got loads of other wheel sets if this isn't exactly what you're looking for.

I would not put 18 on any 911 older than 993.

I'm not a fan of 18s on a pre-1990 911, but those are the best looking ones I've seen...

There's a 16"/17" version of that wheel - it's an E26. Excellent wheels, not cheap. If Thatcher doesn't mention it in his auction, they're about 6K new for any size.

I would never use those on the street. Unless you want to pay 1/4 of the cost every time to hit a pot hole. 3 piece wheels are made for the track, the aluminum outers don't take kindly to pot holes.

the seller is respectable. Many people run 3pc on the street, those who do learn how to drive carefully not to hit pot holes. Human being adapts very easily.

I didn't even notice that the first time around. Their narrowness would be a deal killer for me.

Honestly, there is a point when the wheels distract from the lines of the car and make it look "wonky"... 17's on any 911 are about the biggest you can go before your tire profile starts to look to (lowriderish) unless your racing and the fenders are all widened and the car is slammed down low. But then it's only good for racing. The 993 looks good in 18' as the lines are more modern and they have those wide hips. A 930 might look good too I guess.
