remove a sunroof ? can it be done?

Hi Guys
Can you remove a sunroof, on an Early 911?
Is it a matter of welding it in?
Anyone with experience with this?
Thank You
Joe

I have seen some threads on this. Do a search on "sunroof delete".

Yups....either cut a blank from a beater for the proper curve or fab your own (more work). Lots of tall and/or racers have done it.

yes, and I think the karmahn ghia roofline works for a blank...might be cheaper.
The metal needs a dual curve so it will match and wont flop around.

yes, you will need to cut away the inner structure too.

Some people have welded the sunroof in to the hole, others have replaced the whole roof section and still others have purchased a flanged panel from chris_seven.

There are several threads on this subject you might want to try a search
