How much does a tire's trueness change over time and wear?

Any insights, specifically for a high or ultra high performance road tire that most of us run? How about a race slick tire?

Go canucks go!

Many may disagree but this is one of those "you get what you pay for" deals...

Whenever I cheap out on tyres I always regret it = Uneven wear and higher noise levels as they get older.

I bought an old Benz with Hancook tyres... They were just awful. Rock hard and no grip. Swapped them for some white walled Continentals and they transformed the car. Beautiful ride + everything quiet.

I put Pirellis on my VW Golf and loved them... I had them for nearly three years (55,000 kms +) and then it came time to get new ones.
Then tyre guy told me Falken were just as good so I thought I'd give them a try. guess what??? 4 months in and they're getting noisy
They're still OK... just the noise. I saved $200 buying the Falkens.

Yokohama's are great I've had them on my P car for about 4 years and 30,000k kms.
Bridgestone's before that. So So...

I did not know Goodyear Eagle F1 DSG3 were cheap? Well, they are gone and now the Conti's ride great and so quiet and true

I'm not saying your Good Years were cheap. I've never had any. Just saying what's happened to me.

Oh no Brother, I was so disappointed but not sorry when they discontinued them twice, first when they came out with the DSG2's then the next Gen DSG3's. Supposedly made in Germany. Oh well.

I'm afraid these problems aren't confined to inexpensive tires. I've had the same things happen with both top-of-the-line Continentals and Michelins. At the end of the day, about all you can do is replace 'em. Seems like the wider they are, the higher their aspect ratio, the worse they are.

They can get out of balance as often as every 30 days depending upon how often you lock up your brakes, where you park, and how often you drive the car.
