Another 'New' P-Car Owner

I've been loitering around the forum for a few months now, and figure it's about time for my inaugural post.

The car is a Bitter Chocolate and Gold 1975 US Carrera.

It runs absolutely great, which I can only attribute to its spending some time in John Walker's Workshop. I unfortunately don't have any service records but the decal in the engine compartment is a pretty good sign. Minimal rust, meaning I haven't found any in any of the tell-tale areas but can't imagine I dodged that bullet completely. It's still got a few things here and there that will need to be taken care of but for the most part its in great condition. It definitely isn't a show car, but a fantastic driver. If only the Utah roadways were more suitable for driving at this point.

I'm completely new to Porsche and - to be honest - pretty new to working on cars in general. As such I'm extremely grateful for this forum, it's gotten me through a slew of little projects I've taken on in the past few months.

I still have tons of questions, and look forward to getting more involved in the community where ever possible.

Thanks for everything and keep up the great posts!

- Brandon

ps. I certainly don't want to overstep my boundaries on my first post, but if there are any Utah Pelicans out there interested in organizing a weekend drive sometime in the near future, PM me and let's see what we can do!

Welcome to Pelican!! That is a very nice 911 you have.
I really dig the unusual colors Porsche had in the 70s/80s.

As you'll find, this forum is the best place to find other Porschephiles as well as most anything you could want to know about them.

Welcome! I am not usually a brown fan, but I really dig the color combo on yours. Very nice!

I used to live in Provo years ago, and our firstborn just finished her first yea out there at BYU this year.

If I bring her back in my cabrio this year, maybe we can plan a drive, Some of the canyon roads near Provo would be fun.

Thanks for all the kind words, this really is the best car community out there.

As far as mileage is concerned it's showing 2500 and change on the odometer, so 102500 and change.
