I just purchased a 1978 911 Targa. In the glovebox I found a long metal tag:
stampings are in "quotes".

This is a ROW car.
Anyone seen this tag before?

That’s from when theyimported it and federalized the car making it US legal. It’s usually on the driver’s door jam.

check inside the doors for a side impact bar. They were not "delicate" installing US legal stuff.
