CFM rating of front A/C condenser fan?
Does anyone know the CFM rating of the front air conditioning condenser fan?
Thanks! |
It doesn't really matter, you get the BEST cooling at the lowest blower speed, provided everything else is up to "snuff". The longer the air takes to flow through the evaporator the colder it will be as it exits into the cabin.
Oops, wrong "fan". The answer is...NOT ENOUGH. |
This is one reason you need a supplemental condensor like a Griffiths or ZIMS to get proper cooling...

I've already got a supplemental condenser. I'm looking for more air flow across the front (factory) condenser, and was wondering if anyone knew the CFM rating of the factory fan in front of the trunk compartment.
Thanks! |
I do not think it is the fan that limits your performance but the actual condenser surface itself.

I would first add two ~8" radiator cooling fans to force more air, CONSTANT airflow, over the engine lid condensor. Probably could eliminate the horribly inefficient one in the front.

Got it. Thanks.
Still want to know the CFM rating of the front condenser fan. Anyone? |
