Swap a 91 G50 into a 87

Has anyone swapped a 91 G50 into a 1987 if so what did you have to do.

You need to change the nose cone to a G50 -01 style 87 thru 89. And shorten the shift linkage.

That's it? Hmmm, well, someone who knows, please correct this train of thought... Seeing that the 993 6-speed tranny is more or less a bolt in for a 964, and the 964 seems pretty much a bolt in for a G50 911, couldn't one assume that the 993 transmission is easily transplanted into the G50 911?

I believe he wants to install a 91 964 G50 not a six speed from a 993 ,

Sorry, my fault. I got a bit distracted and started in a different direction.

As it turns out, it wouldn't be as easy as I listed above - 6 gear is in the nose cone which would be switched to the g50-01 type.

yes mine is a 5 speed that came out of a 91

Just the nose cone and shifting rod is different but just need to know what doto install in a 87
