88 G50 Shifting clunk sound and feel 3rd through 5th
I just got back from a short drive in my 1988 911 and something has happened to my shifter, I think. Today my shift lever feels like it is attached to a 915 tranny instead of a G50. It wobbles quite a bit from side to side.
It will also make a clunk sound and feel when I shift into any gear positions ranging from 3rd to 5th. Is this a problem with the shift lever mechanism/housing?

No JKD
![]() It may be your shifter bushing. I just recently helped my buddy's 87 replace his, all is better now.
