Are these sport seats? Bolsters seem small...

Saw these on Ebay. The first pair were reupholstered in vinyl, the second set they're asking a mint for, but my question is are they really sport seats? I thought the side and bottom bolsters were larger on sport seats. If they truly are sport seats, maybe I should be looking towards aftermarket seats for good weekend racer seats...

Those seats you linked are the earlier style high-back sport seats. The type you're thinking of are the later style (pictured poorly below, but it's all I got). Introduced in 85 I think? So yes, they are sport seats.

Yep, older style non-power sport seats. I've got them in my '84. The were power from '85 on. The side bolsters are bigger than they look in those photos. My previous 911s had standard seats and I always felt they were lacking in support.

The sports seats are great. If I ever buy another 911 without sport seats I'll be trying to find a set. Be aware that if you are a large person they may be a tight fit.

I had a set of those in my '77 - loved them! I sold them to a guy in Colorado when I got my SRD's.

FWIW, I have a set of leather Recaro sport seats, similar to these, but with deeper and more squared-off bolsters. Need recovering, but they're great seats. They also put you a little lower in the seat than the normal seats. The leather pattern is identical the the factory seats.

Yep, I have electric 8-way non-sport seats right now. I'm going to start weekend racing and decided they have to go. I'm looking into lighter alternatives as we speak.
