vacuum hoses

Hi Guys
I needs so help. I was changing the vacuum module on my cruise control. My son removed it while I was not present and now cant remember which way they go. I have two different size hoses and one has a tee fitting in it. The module has an electrical contection and two fittings on it one large and one small . How do they go. Thanks

What year? You were changing it, but your son removed it? Four years and no Bentley?

tsk tsk

This will not look good on your permanent record.

Large vent to the rear. Small line to the front.

Do you need help with the electrical connection?

+1 ^^^

While facing the module, on my 3.2 it is the larger OD (breather) in front and the smaller OD (vacuum) from the T line is connected to the back it.

Tell your son, take a pic before removing anything. With today's cell it is easy enough to keep track of your work.

vacuum hoses

Sorry bout that( I am so mad at my son) It is 1980 911 sc and I have a manual but doesnt show any of this . I can handle the electrial as it is a matter pushing the connector on the two electrial terminals but where do the vacuum hoses go. He pulled the hoses lose on both ends and I have no way of nowing where they go.
Does Pelican parts have vacuum hose diagram Like they have for the 914 four

The larger one goes out to the atmosphere out the side. the smaller one goes to the T connection straight down and to the right, can't miss it.

Let me take some pics, BRB.

I believe it is for the Brake Booster Vacuum. if the left side goes behind the chassis like the breather hose to the right then, YES.

Draco - will my 88 look like those photos? My cruise control has never worked and I have checked the Bentley manual but haven't started this project yet

Yes, 3.2 84-89 are the same set up for the cruise control in the engine compartment. Check that smaller OD is connected, without it, it will not work. If that does not work, borrow a ECU at the underside of the DASH of your year. My ECU is in the trunk. ( 84 up to 86.5 )

Draco - I stared at the unit in my engine compartment, scratched my head a few times, and finally realized that my '88 cruise control unit is electric and not vacuum. So... no hoses.

I guess I have to find a troubleshooting guide for the electric unit. My servo unit is completely different.
