rear stabilizer bracket

While in the process of removing my engine and trans I found this...any thoughts on a repair procedure? I could not find that Pelican sells this part...can this be welded?

It a common failure, but a solution exists!

Does that replacement part get welded on after removing all traces of the previous one?

Correct. Grind it clean and then place the bracket.

Do a search for wevo bracket and I'm sure you will find how to do it info

A great, while-the-engine-is-out job!

Same thing happened to one of my DE track buddies on his 88 Carrera last month ...
He purchased the Wevo brackets from Pelican and had them welded on !

Have to admit, those brackets look indestructable ...

Cheers !
