Not getting fuel, and don't know where this wire goes.

First of all, I'm sorry for my first thread into the forum.

Now I'm trying to get my 1989 911 3.2 to start up and the problem is the engine isn't getting fuel. It's got a new DME relay, a freshly tested computer from steve (added in a chip), and 21k miles on it. Right now I'm trying to put the computer and DME relay back in after inspecting them and I realize that there is a wire to the upper right coming from the center console disconnected from everything. It looks like it should be connected to the altitude sensor but it's already got a connector. I checked around and there isn't another wire loose where it could connect. Also- I now can get as much access to the porsche as needed unlike my original thread . Once I figure out where this wire is I'm going to replace the fuel filter as the pump is fine, and if that's not it I'm guessing the only thing left would be the injectors? The wire looks like a simple +/- clasp wire with a white male clasping head. I can get pictures if necessary.

Its probably the second connection for the power seat. I dont know if all power seats use it.

How do you know you're not getting fuel? Have you put a meter on the fuel pump terminal to see if it is getting power during cranking? Or just run a test lead (power) to it and see if it'll run.

Are you cranking and cranking and no start? If you are getting fuel and no start, maybe it's a reference sensor issue or head temp sensor gone bad.

Post a pic of the new DME to the connector and this wire you are talking about?

When you reconnected the the DME with chip, did you hear a click/snap when you seated in to the connector?

I just put the computer to it, the cars been sitting because after it went down no one decided to work on it till now and the battery subsequently died. It's cranking just not starting, and is the DME relay suppose to hook to that screw? The connector is forcing the relay to sit on its side keeping me from locking it down.
Here's the picture of the wire

I believe it was brown but I'm not near the car anymore. Also I took out the fuel filter and poured out the gas that was in it and it had some black filter elements in it, but there was no fuel coming up. Without the filter and the fuel line open I extended it outside the car and turned on the ignition to see if fuel was coming up and lo and behold no dice. I'm putting it up on my shop's lift tomorrow to see if I can detect if the pump is going. I put a stethoscope to the gas tank to see if I could hear any gas moving and once again I couldn't notice anything.

Also half of my fuse board is dead can I replace it with normal-modern fuses? Also I understand it's suppose to have an air compressor for the tire where is that located?

This is really turning out to be a restoration project as I just took out the gas tank gauge because the plastic coating on the inside was melted so I scraped the window back to the glass and polished it.

One last question- I finally realized what this is it's an anniversary edition I couldn't understand why I didn't figure that out earlier. It's made in 12/88 (probably one of the last off the line according to porsche CS), whale tail, and silver metallic paint . I'll get some pics of it tomorrow it looks sad right now because it's covered in dust and has 2 dents . The floor mats I ripped out to have a little room while working on it.
