steam from right font fender well??

Hey guys well I have a fast question.. It .. well the weather is bad in Ohio today very , windy and rain.. and I was caught out in it for about two hours today.. and well while driving i was smelling a steam or dirty water smell.. and them when i got home i pulled under the car port to the house.. I was letting the car run as to burn off the water on the motor and all.. as mine doesn't seem to like being put awy wet. and i noticed smoke .. that was later identified as steam billowing up from the right fender well , I figured it was simply water evaporating off of the oil cool in the fender.. I felt the iol lines that run from the front to the rear and they were VERY hot .. is this a bad thing. as I have never noticed it before! it wasn't oil ..it was STEAM should I be worried or is it simply what i it seemed to be and that was water burning off of the oil lines and cooler ? please tell me if anyone else has every had this happen.

All is normal.

If your thermostat opens it means the oil is around 180 F. So yeah your pipes are going to get warm.

Same thing happened to me after I first bought my car. About scared the $hit out of me, untill i figured it out.

Cheers

Slow down man!

The last time I had steam coming from under my fender wells, it was coming off my brakes. I got a call at work from a neighbor that the fire departement was at my house. When I arrived, the firemen said I must have been driving pretty fast. When I asked them how they could tell, they pointed back at my wheels. Smoke was actually coming off the brakes.
