Question Weber carb calibration for 3.0

Hi all,

I'm trying to figure out how to set up my Webers (40 IDA 3C).

I just got them the other day and started to look at them today. They are in need of a rebuild and calibration for my engine, so that is my next project.

Here is what they came with: 30 chokes, 55 idle jets, F26 emulsion tubes (some missing), no main jets (all missing).

I have to buy some emulsion tubes and main jets at a minimum so I'd like to get everything I need in one order.

Warren mentioned that Bruce Anderson's recommendations are for a 3.0 with carbs and a hot cam. I was going to go with BA's recommendation, but since I am going to run a stock cam and pistons, I do not know what I should buy for a good baseline setup. Anyone have any thoughts?

Wayne - does Pelican sell calibrated Weber carburetor parts? If not, who should I get them from (Pierce Manifolds, PMO, Rennsport Systems)?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Thanks!
Charlie
