The only kits Ive ever seen (for P-cars) must have at the least a CIS EFI system.

There was an aftermarket Judson supercharger made in the 60's for VW's. Don't know if they made for the 911. No Turbo/Weber ever made. -- Curt

A former buddy of mine had a blower...on a '76. @ the '78 Pea-raid? I beat him in the auto-X..by over 6 seconds...winning times for my class were in the 1:15's. Because of driver error, I did 1:18. Because of his blower, he was considered "improved", maybe "modified"..I forget. Nevertheless, in a box stock 2.4...I spanked him pretty badly. Cost him a bottle of whiskey, it did....

I have seen ads in some Prosche magazines for "knoxsville Superchargers". they are for 3.0 SC (300hp) and 3.2 (325-425) depending on if it's a Paxton or Whipple charger, but nothing for the earlier engines.

I looked into this a few years back.

You would have much difficulty using a roots type blower and carb(s) due to space limitations.
You might be able to use a modern Eaton unit that pulls ftom the back by mounting dual Webers to the sides. Might be able to use a paxton in a blow through application.

All of this really isn't a good idea though. EFI is getting cheaper all of the time. You get a cleaner looking setup, better throttle responce, fuel mileage, and no lean-out when cornering hard. Turbos and carbs have even more problems. Just not good now that aftermarket FI is available.

A decent supercharger or turbo upgrade, would cost as much as a 3.0 engine swap. And with a 3.0L N/A motor you would have no bosst lag.

Look back on some old threads. There is a bunch of info on DIY EFI systems for the 911. Electromotive, Haltech, MegaSquirt, the list goes on.
