metal can accelerator cable linkage

where on the cable is this improved part located?

is it in the engine compartment?

in front of the rear wheel?

somewhere inside the shift rod tunnel?

On most 911's (mine is a 1971) its under the car, just outside the shifter tunnel and before the point where your pedal linkage attaches to the throttle linkage coming from the engine.

Hope this helps...

NO! Under the car at the firewall (if you want to call it that). Just before the bell crank. Next to the tranny.

The old one on mine was just a round rubber thing, new one is encased in metal. Just on the outside of the firewall, before the transmission bellcrack, driver's side. Jack up the car and look under there, you can't miss it.
