Porsche Haters

I received this love note today on the windshield of my 911

at MY office with enough spots here daily for each car to take 4 spots each if they wanted.

Hope you got half the laugh I did

oh and more Porsche content.

Are there enough people in Rocklin yet to worry about parking spaces?

Yer lucky you didn't get keyed......doesn't matter if yer the farthest from the front door. Crap like that pisses off the wankers....

It goes back to crayons and staying inside the lines....

Indeed! One is ASKING to have some lowlife key your car, and you're lucky they just left a note this time. I'm picky as can be, always find a space to protect "my baby", and haven't recieved a single ding, scratch, etc. on any of my "good cars" in decades of driving. No way in hell would I take two spaces even if the whole lot is vacant...it will yield exactly the opposite result of what you desire eventually. Quit laughing about it and THINK!

the spot on the far side is a compact, the only in the lot of 80+ spaces (only 18 are being used right now). After numerous dents in other cars from SUV's squeezing in that spot I started taking up both. Been parking like that for 6+ years and now that it's a Porsche I get the prick note. If I wasn't in a meeting I would have caught whoever it was because it's directly in front of my office. I just thought it was funny that someone spent the time to write the note, I wish I had that much time in a day.

Been there, done that. Be very careful as they don't view your car as you do and they can always return and have a field day on it....

How Dare You Sir!

Next time park perpendicularly so you can take 3 spaces

It looks like a female's handwriting or a girlie man. So brave not to confront you in person.

My buddy was anal about his 740 il. We all went to the beach one year, drove in 3 seperate cars, and were planning on meeting at the beach house. About a mile before we get there , we see his big black 740 hogging up 2 spaces in the grocery store parking lot. My other buddy , just for fun, sneaks up, and puts a shopping cart ( carefully) against his drivers door, then hung out and waited for him to come out of the store, and videoed the whole affair. We did not let him know until the last day we were there that it was us, but we laughed our buts off at that video all week long. He was fumed, threw the cart , and took a little hissy fit.

Your rationalization doesn't mean squat and it's a lot easier to key your 911 than it is to write a note...you were lucky! You can (and will) do what you want, but you're NOT going to like the outcome eventually. I've parked in packed multi-level parking decks, etc. and might go 2-3 levels higher to find a "good space", but it's doable. I've never, ever squeezed my 911 into a space and the thought of taking two spaces...well, I just know better. Beautiful car BTW....keep it that way !!!

Why do others feel they need to enforce unnessary controls on others when there is no need. This reminds me of people who don't use both lanes up into the point where a traffic issue constricts them down to a single lane and then try to cut others off that are using the open lane (I bet this comment stirs some agitated comment!).

We live in a free and open society. If someones actions are not impacting your health or well being, or endangering others, let it be.

Sorry if this is a little off track of the forum but it seems to follow the thread....

10+ comments in 20 minutes.....hmmmmmm, maybe you might want to reconsider your park job and attempts at rationalization.....

It sucks having those teutonic anal tendencies about your car. My wife was at the local grocery store and parked her Suburban in a spot at the far end of the lot away from other cars. Some F(^%$ B(^*% in a beater pulled up next to her and then proceeded to back up dragging the bumper end against the burb's quarter panel. Took off and didn't stop. First dent in 100K miles. Wouldn't you just love to catch these folks in action.

love the stance! From your office? Start looking out for the dude with that handwriting.... hopefully he's not the CEO...

Some people need to lighten up though... but I agree with the others, park straight.

Hey Mat,
Another Rocklin pelican here, I had my 914/6keyed at Costco, apparently for the sin of parking as far away from everybody as I could.Took up 1 space, just at the back of the lot.People are weird.
Taking up 2 spaces like makes you a target.
Where in Rocklin was this,at work?
John

I would never park like that in a lot. But I don't like drawing attention to my car.
