Rear brake dragging
I had to test my speedometer sensor recently, and when I had the rear of the car jacked up and went to rotate the wheel, I discovered that the rear left is noticeably harder to turn than the right. This is with the parking brake fully off. Since then, I've tried pressurizing the brake system and opening the bleeder on that wheel, and brake fluid flows easily, so I'm guessing the brake line isn't swollen. And I've tried altering the parking brake adjustment in case it was just a little too tight, without success - I can tighten it to where the wheel won't turn at all, but once I loosen it a couple of clicks, past that point it still feels draggy.
Is there anything else I should check before I take it to my mechanic? I guess I could pull the pads out and be completely sure that's what is dragging. I don't have time to do a caliper rebuild right now, so if that's what it needs I'll let someone else deal with it.

Could be either sticking piston in the caliper or the parking brake cable is binding. In my experience the inner parking brake cable corrodes and binds on the outer casing so never release fully.

On one of my older cars (not a Porsche) the parking/drum brake started hanging up on one side. It would turn but wasn’t obviously not spinning the way it should, fortunately was less than a quarter mile from home and was able to drive it.
Took it apart and the pad material was coming apart and pieces were catching and causing it to drag. |
