new tires 94W or 96Y
I am about to get new rears for the 930 from the UK
current tires are 265/45/17 96Y Bridgstone Potenza RE050 however I can only find 255/45/17 94W Bridgstone Potenza RE050 I want to try and keep with same tire brand front/rear if possible I understand the reduction in speed - this should not be an issue But can I drop in load rating from 96- 94 or is the 94 correct anyway? Running on 10" RUF speedlines Many thanks

That load index is fine. 94 or 96 is plenty for these cars which are rather light.
Here are the specifics on the load index capacities Tire Tech Information - How to Read Speed Rating, Load Index & Service Descriptions
