Clutch is an on/off switch
Hi guys - my clutch is basically an on/off switch and also is lower than by brake.
Can I get some coaching on how to; 1) Raise the pedal up so it is matched to where the brake pedal sits 2) How to adjust the clutch so I get less of an on/off engagement? I just got her so please excuse how dirty she is. Thanks, Tom ![]() |

The pedal height and engagement from the floor is controlled bu the 2 15mm nuts at the end of the rubber sleeve at the top of the picture.
To lift the petal off the floor you need to move the 2 nuts so the cable shield goes forward toward the driver. First the pedal will rise then the engagement will rise. Bruce |

+1 read the tutorial.
You need a helper to assist you while you take measurements at the cable. After the adjustment check the small arm adjustment as wel, again part of the tutorial. Your goal is to get 25.0MM (+/- 0.5MM) difference at the cable shown above when the clutch pedal is at rest and pressed. This will give you proper pedal height and engagement in the middle of the travel of the pedal. While you are there, you may want to remove both arms and clean and lube with High Pressure Grease on the shaft. Due to the debris, I suspect the two debris shield covers are probably toast. Order the two before you get into it. All you really need is a Circlip Plyers, BFS, two wrench to make the needed adjustments.

Less brakes, more gas!

I had some clutch trouble similar to your on/off description. The throwout bearing was getting stuck on the guide tube. Needed to replace the guide tube.
