Look who I found on the Boxster Board!

Leland, you should find this posting most disconcerting:

"Any 2.5 L Boxster owners here?
Don't tell anyone from the SCWDP that I'm here!

Any of you out there have a 2.5 L Boxster? Just wondering how the performance is. I see you can pick up a second hand one for high 20's now. That seems quite attractive.

Just for grins, say I was looking to get a boxster for every day use, would you recommend I get a 2.5L or save up more $ and go for the bigger engine?

I see the SCWDP ranks thinning as we speak! Like rats running from a sinking ship.

Boxster Board

That's where I go when I want some quiet "alone time."

Although if you go there and hear:

HELLO
HELLO
HELLO
hello

That will be me

OK, I've got to fess up. I was looking at an 86 928 last night. My daughter thought it looked "funny", but a 5.0 ltr V8 seems interesting.

I guess the SC is more reliable than the SC owner.

Don't feel bad Bill; I know of a cherry Guard's Red 928 in a heated garage that I dream about. They prefer their Mercedes 230sl to the Pcar.

I hope to pry it from them for cheap. We'll see about that!

I'm still loyal.

I don't have enough money to change camps. Mind you, I did try to buy a crashed 993 yesterday that I thought would be a good pile of spare parts.

And just what is wrong with owning an SC AND a 2.5 Boxster???

I've been to the Boxster Board a couple of times myself and FWIW, I've even checked out F150online's boards for a few questions on my "daily" wheels. Those guys can be a little over the top, too.

But F150WDP just sounds weird. We have nothing to worry about.

Of course, some of you know the wife of the Rainforest Region's President drives a Boxster. But not for long, as it's about to be traded for a BMW X5. It's been a sad story, her little Boxster, but I'll let her post about it on the Boxster board (if she wants to).

As for yours truly, I'm still.....
Keeping the SCWDP faith!

Just think of the Boxster as the "starter" Porsche - I bought mine in '97, one of the first 2000 made. Now I've just traded up to the '72 911T - a natural progression, right? I probably never would have bought a Porsche if I hadn't bought the Boxster.

If one of you SC folks are interested in a good used 2.5L Boxster maintained by the best German mechanic in town, drop me a line!

Wink Just like chasin' Ladys!

I think Leland is a chippie chaser. Here a few months ago he was making eyes a early cars, like pwd72s's car, now Boxters.

At least he is staying close to the marque.
