Question Radio/stereo hookup question

If you are connecting a stereo that has front and rear speaker outputs (4x35 amp), but you only have two speakers, do you:

a) Ignore the rear pair wires and turn the fader to the front (then aren't you "losing" 1/2 the amp output)?
b) Tie the Front Left and Rear Left // FR and RR pairs together ?

Somewhere in my damaged grey matter some neurons are firing about not driving an amplifier without a load. But then it gets hazy and I start hearing Pink Floyd...d@mn neurons.

To keep this on topic, this is for a car radio that I'm installing in my Garage where the Porsche parks.

Thanks for the help!

Don

I would do (a) - and don't forget to make sure the rear wires are properly isolated from one another.

Hello

It depends on the way the amp is constructet. Some can work in the BTL ( bridged ) mode. Best is to ask the manufactorer .

You also can get a little sub and hook the free chanels to that.
