If you are connecting a stereo that has front and rear speaker outputs (4x35 amp), but you only have two speakers, do you:
a) Ignore the rear pair wires and turn the fader to the front (then aren't you "losing" 1/2 the amp output)? b) Tie the Front Left and Rear Left // FR and RR pairs together ? Somewhere in my damaged grey matter some neurons are firing about not driving an amplifier without a load. But then it gets hazy and I start hearing Pink Floyd...d@mn neurons. To keep this on topic, this is for a car radio that I'm installing in my Garage where the Porsche parks. Thanks for the help! Don

I would do (a) - and don't forget to make sure the rear wires are properly isolated from one another.

It depends on the way the amp is constructet. Some can work in the BTL ( bridged ) mode. Best is to ask the manufactorer . You also can get a little sub and hook the free chanels to that. Grüsse |
