please help with this vin#

vin# 119122961
engine # 6196206

Please let me know what the years are. Pink states its a 69, but I think the vin is clearly a 68 OR IS IT?????? I don't know the engine. Please HELP!

Thank you,

I understood vin number starting with 1191 was a 68 T and 1192 would be an E. Furthermore, 69 would start with 911. Please clarify.

If its a true E than I'm going to Vegas a betting all on BLACK

My book states;
"119122961"
11 = Type 911
9 = 1969
1 = "T"
2 = Coupe
2961 = consecutive build number

Engine number "6196206"
6 = 6 cyl engine
1 = 911T
9 = 1969
6206 = sequential build number

Therefore, car is a 1969 911T coupe, by the numbers, that is.

Just walked back from Loren Beggs @ 911 Design and has confirmed its a T. Not going to Vegas

Yes, a 1969 Karmann bodied The engine is the correct type, but way off in the serial # unless the 2 is really a 7; as in 6196706.
