Leland download the Java. You can't be slower than the string i have in the ground. 56k running at 21k. I couldn't read it much faster than the members were writing.

Good Luck

Wayne - worked fine for me on 56k from Hong Kong.

Agree with others - its a little hard to read.

Is this to be a generic chat line for all Porsche people - when I was on, there was the usual BS 911 vs 944 - rather tiring really...maybe need two chat lines for these models?

Definitely see potential for discussion topics on scheduled days/nights - would be cool to be able to have a guest speaker eg a race driver in the Carrera Cup or something similar - good promotion opportunity in magazines such as Excellence and 911 & Porsche World if this was promoted ahead of time - great promo for race driver/sponsors and of course Pelican - just a thought!

Cheers, Mark

Wayne- works great, just talked to a couple guys from AU who were rebuilding a 2.7. Thanks!

Good job with the chat room.

Leland, i'm on cable, and if there is anything I can do to help just let me know.

This appears to be an IRC set up and creating different channels is VERY basic, infact Wayne can even change the setting so that anyone can make a channel on whatever subject they want (I think)

Anyways, good stuff!

Ok, final version installed for now. I didn't write the software, so I can't really change it right now. If someone finds a better Java applet, let me know, this is the first one I came across...

Wayne,

I think it's extremely helpful. Imagine getting real-time responses to tech questions during our rebuild! It works fine from Australia on a cable modem.

Great Job!
