Good job wayne as we have a better chat room. on keeping it that way id say no there must be a better one out there.. to me its weird.. here are my thoughts

1.The way it shows up when someone enters makes the page jump down.. also with everyone having the same font u cant read it all very good...

2. Seems just a little plain.. maybe im just ranting over nothing but to me i see yahoo, aol, icq to be a little better. dont know how they work but it should b something that is up always and just a place to talk. would still have the bbs for technical questions.

so who knows does anyone agree.. number 1 is my only real thing i think.

Wayne...when I click on the link, it tries to open a page and gives me a window saying I need to download software. It says it's 4.8 megs and will take 42 minutes!
And even when I click on "download" it says it cannot download to specified path ...something something something...
ARGGG!

Wayne, can you set the font just a little bigger? I have a 20" screen and it still looked a little small. Would be kinda cool to have a vote on topics poll page and have certain nights devoted to certain topics @ a set time.

That's a good idea, Mike. If a weekly or nightly topic and time could be set here on the BBS, everyone who's interested could log on.

I am starting to keep the window open, although last time I tried it, I was alone.

Wayne,
Seems to work fine. I'm on a Mac, OS 9, and a 56k modem.....

Works great.
It'll be interesting to see it running with "bunches-o-members" logged on together.

Well, screw you guys because I can't get on and talk too.

There is no DSL service up here and there are no plans to bring it for another 2 to 3 years.

Damnit...I bug and bug everyone that we need a new chat room than I can't even get on it! ARRG!

Leland,
It cant be a DSL problem because I dont have DSL and I can connect just fine. Im using 56K. Try to see if its anything else. Or maybe you just have to download the software.
