Didn't see it referenced here - 964 to 1974RSR

Got back from England a few weeks ago and had the extreme pleasure of visiting the 9meister shop and seeing this car in person.

For those that don't know - 9meister is a top grade tuner - they do it right. They were making the singer engine. - They (Colin Belton) is a real genius when it comes to extracting the most out of our beloved aircooled cars. Even got a chance to see matteos car in person.

Anyway - reference to the thread

9m11RS-R - creation of a modern icon - '74 3.0RSR on 9m64RS platform - Rennlist Discussion Forums

basically going from this

lots of goodness in that thread - I highly recommend it

The pictures will come through if you are signed into Rennlist, must be hosted on that site.

Aside from that, thanks for the link Jeremy, this is a very impressive 964 transformation. Seems like the 964 is becoming the chasis of choice for some crazy backdated builds lately.

rumor is the next Singer cars will be based on the 964 chassis.. Kinda makes sense - car was set up with independent suspension and g-50 from the get go - easier to modify.

That's pretty amazing. I'm sure all us DIY'rs dream of completing a project like that.

One of these days I might strip the 930 down to the shell; I wonder if 9meister sells that roll cage kit?

Good luck with them finding 964 chassis that people will want. 964 C2 coupes with a manual transmission are scarce already. Perhaps they'll start converting all those automatics into 5 speeds. And removing the front wheel drive. And putting a roof in place of the soft top.
