You could ask Craig Smith over in Morro Bay. (Clint at Rebel Racing's father).

He's the same as SGS. Him and Gabe are very helpful. I would have no qualms about getting Guy to evaluate a car he's done work on. I've found him to be very honest, and have been through to ask advice and buy parts and for a bit of work the past few years while at Cal Poly. I'm pretty sure he makes enough money that he doesn't feel inclined to pull a fast one on any of his customers. My opinion is that I would buy a car Guy has been working on in a heartbeat if he told me things were good. But it's your money, your call.

Try Richard over at VPA 805-543-7175. He used to work on my car when I lived down in that area. He is a good guy.
