Electrical Problem

On way to work this AM with 80 SC, had alternator light start to come on. Had replaced Alternator with rebuilt about 9 months ago. Didn't have voltmeter with me to check output. The light got brighter when RPM's went up. Tach started to bounce and read about double actual RPM. Engine started to roughen (barely noticable). Turning on radio, headlights did not seem to change alt light intensity.

Any thoughts on where to start?

Thanks

Broken fan belt, bad voltage regulator or bad altenator.
