C2 Decklid On A 74 911?

Does any one know if a a rear decklid off a 91 c2/c4 will fit on an older (1974) 911.

I'm sure if you ask Jack He'll be happy to provide lots of info and photos of his car. It's not a '74, but the rear lid should be the same.

Yes, but you need the 91 hinges, which will need to be modified, and you won't be able to keep the ac condensor that's under the decklid.

COOL. i HAVE A DECK LID OFF A C4S ALSO, THE ONE WITH A SPLIT GRILL DO YOU THINK I CAN EXCHANGE THE SPLIT GRILL WITH THE OTHER GRILL OFF THE 91 C2? I KNOW THIS SOUNDS CRAZY BUT THE DECKLID FROM THE 993 WILL NOT FIT .. TOO SHORT.. AND I LOVE THE SPLIT GRILL

I don't know the answer to this, but I hope you'll post what you learn. I've thought about the same thing. The split grill looks really cool, and I would guess (but it's only a guess) that Porsche wouldn't change the raising and lowering mechanism from the 964 to the 993.

You can not change the 993 and 964 Spoiler, the mechanics are the same but the Spoiler in the 993 is wider and taller so it will not go in the hole of the 964 .

Just a minor correction: the split grill was only found on the Carrera S, never on the Carrera 4S.

Just a thought. If the spoiler mechanism is the same, but the opening is too small on the 964 lid, you could probably simply adjust the microswitch so it stops before it goes all the way into the decklid. It would stick up part-way, but it may look OK.
Are willing to give it a try Victor?

Do any of you guys have pictures of the split grill vs. the regular grill? I dont think I've ever seen a split grill before.

Do you mean the "RS" emblem?

It's the one used on the Carrera RS from 1990 in Europe (slightly smaller than the RS in the "RS America" emblem, I think).
