ride height with raised spindles?
Hey guys,
I just acquired a 1969 S from a fellow pelican. Upon getting home and trying to get it into my driveway I discovered the ride height at the fenders is 23.25"/24" F/R. Which seems way low/wrong I know that the front should be about 1/2" higher than rear normally, but I'm second guessing myself a little since the car has 1" raised spindles. I assume these shouldn't change the +1/2" front rule but I'm not 100% sure. Looking at the A-arms, they are flat. Thanks for any help. And since this is my first real post around here, the obligatory photo: ![]() ![]() |

Seems stable. A little bit of bump steer.

If it handles to your liking and does not bottom out, just run with it and enjoy the lower center of gravity.
Tire/fender ride height is affected by body asymmetry and different brands of tires. You need to measure the torsion bar to ball joint distance. If you put that into the correct range (not US ride height) for a normal car then your car will be 1 inch lower in front due to the raised spindles.
