78 3.0 into 69 911T: tips needed

I've found a couple of threads on this swap, which mainly focus on wiring issues without resolutions necessarily being posted in detail. Anyone who has actually done this swap, please post your experiences.

It sounds like the main issues will involve the wiring and tranny. I may use the original 4-spd 901 tranny at least temporarily, and take it easy on it:

1) wiring problems: 14 vs 6 pin connector issues, oil pressure sender?
possible fix: get used connectors and make an adapter; are these connectors available new, as one thread indicates?
Need a new oil pressure sender?

2) tranny problems: 915 style flywheel on 3.0 won't play with the 901
possible fix: new flywheel/clutch assembly; what unit works?
OR bite the bullet and get a 915, since I have the complete 915 type flywheel, clutch, PP etc on the engine - anyone got a good deal on a 915? Will presumably need a different clutch cable set-up too...

Again, any tips from those who have been down this road will be appreciated...this will be my winter project once the salt ruins the roads here, and I want to go into it with eyes open...cheers, Al
