A/C condensor in a Ducktail?
Anyone ever installed an A/C condensor in a Ducktail spoiler?
Had been thinking about putting one in the left hand wheel-well but now thinking about going back with the stock locations but using the newer style condensors. This is an aftermarket ducktail and full fiberglass, not glass added to a metal rear lid. Thx, Joe

Thanks for the reply. Any chance for some pics of the installation? Also did you have to reinforce the fiberglass any to mount the condensor? Thx, Joe

I did mine as part of the RetroAire kit. Took a lot of fabrication as the aftermarket tail I have had a centre spine that needed to be dealt with.
![]() ![]() Nothing too dramatic. Had to fabricate a support and the fibreglas it into the existing duck surface. It is tight though, D. |

my saga
I started with same route as you. My real purpose was to get colder a/c.
I went through this, installing fans to blow enough cooling air across the rear condenser. It seems to have worked. Getting much colder air. |
