Better Body quality

Anyone use products from Better Bodies? I am currently looking at a front valance for my steel slant nose conversion. Looking at a DP Motorsports like valance. DP wants 450 euro plus shipping - so its going to costs a little more than I had in mind. Better Bodies has one - but I have read that some people have had fitting issues. I saw that Vertex Auto has one also - but I think it is the one from BB.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

Ditto on TRE. My widebody conversion has TRE front and rear RS 3.0 style bumpers and they fit great with very little work needed.

I did a front and rear with Better Bodies. I am now better with Fiberglass work than when I started.

The front was pretty close. I had to do some filling to meet my front fender with the correct curve.

The Rear I had to take 1 inch out of the center of it and FG it back together. Over all the rear was pretty close where it met the fender beside being 1 inch to long in the overall dimension.

The quality of the piece itself was decent.

Bolt on firberglass only happens when someone does not care if it's a perfect fit.

Great people to deal with.

I am having trouble getting the front cooler installed. The front bumper is very close to the pan. I may need to get creative to sneek it in.

I used Rennspeed.....Both bumpers and doors fit right out of the box. The front fenders needed some work.

I have a BBM air dam on my car. It needed a little work, but not much, and looked nice when installed and painted. Some people have reported slow shipping, but mine arrived promptly. I made several calls before ordering, and talked to the same person each time.

I actually found two authentic dp valances on ebay out of California. Think it cost me under $300 with shipping for both. I actually had them shipped by greyhound bus. It was cheap.. Painted one and kept the other for a spare. They fit perfect and required low prep.. Try ebay... Good Luck!

DSM,
Nice man. Just the valance that I am looking for. Found one at AIR, also a damage split DP here on Pelican for $250 plus shipping. Looks like the DP fit excellent.

How did it fit out of the box?

Thanks,
Mark

Overall it fits great. Lines up perfect with the fender arch's. It didn't come with mounting holes. Had to drill them to match the fenders. This was a bit tricky and it really had to be wrenched tight almost like stretching it to wrap around the front bumper. There isn't much meat to play at the point where it meets the fender so I wanted the smallest hole in the right place! Get the brackets for mounting the 930s spoiler. They are a must! Fit it before paint!!! I fit mine and let it bake in the sun for a while before sending it out to paint.

Excellent - thanks for the help.

Did you buy the valances from a store or individual? If it was a store on Ebay - could you forward the name.

Thanks again,
Mark

It was a private ebay seller.

These are the brackets. They are actually from the turbo front spoiler... They are used to sandwich the valance mount to the fender mount. Must use them or fab your own!!

I can't really tell from the angle if it's a wide body in that shot. Regardless, it looks pretty good. Is that a 964 smile? And rear deck lid grill in the, uhh, grill opening?
