Less brakes, more gas!

Nice Porsche Garage!
My wife sent me this pic. No idea where it came from, but thought it was pretty cool. Would love to see the underground portion!

That looks neat. I good solution when a conventional garage would look ugly. That must be expensive.

For some reason the word "mildew" pops into my head looking at that picture.

Very zen. I was thinking Japan but the plate looks European. From the hump on the dash, I say RHD.

a cousin of mine had that setup for a house on the side of a very steep incline. The car would lower to his first floor down. So it was not underground , maybe the same here.

Most of these systems are a German design.
They are starting to get traction in installations in Australia. I'm designing a block of 8 units at the moment and it solves the parking solution. They aren't that cheap though - about 35K per spot. But when space is $$$ they are sometimes affordable.

OK so you've got this very cool and very pricey garage...why does the house look like a double-wide?

As cool as that is ........ all I keep thinking is about a power failure and explaining to my better half how we can't leave to get a bite because the car is underground. A small quake could also knock the top out of kilter. Would kind of suck to have to have a backhoe to dig my car out.

Something tells me that anyone with enough spondoolics to pull off an exercise like that would make sure the company he paid to install would have the mildew problem pretty well sorted.
