It left me with very mixed feelings. It definitely seems to be one of those deals where he must of done it just -- to do it. I can identify with that. Just putting the most over the top american V8 into just about anything (Pintos, Ferrari's, Porsche's, British Escorts, boats, etc. etc. etc) doesn't really do anything for me any more. My hats off to him for the effort and detail execution on the job though!
Now if he found a way to mate two SC blocks into a 6 liter flat-12 (a la a 917 motor) and stick that in the back of a 914 - THAT would make me sit up an pay attention!!!

Not much left that Zuffenhausen would recognize! Unbelievable engineering & fabrication in this project. I think he missed his calling though .... should have been an engineer for NASA. I like to be on hand when it gets broken in and correctly mapped. Fun to read about .... would I do this? Nah

Regardless of what anyone thinks of the looks, everyone should agree that the car is an engineering and fabrication marvel.

A marvel no doubt, but I would have preferred to see all of that engineering go into a chassis like the Ultima or something more like that. http://www.ultimasports.co.uk/

Can you imagine the time and money invested! I bet he had fun though. Oh well, to each their own.

That is truly amazing. The attention to detail, completeness, and quality of execution are simply outstanding.
I would have been much happier if it had a porsche engine under the lid, but I am in awe none the less.

From an engineering perspective - pretty impressive. The performance should be neck-snapping awesome. My problem is the body work - it is all pretty subjective. I prefer cleaner simple lines.

This guy's completely nuts! He built the oven to build the pieces to build his car. That is what I call dedication, skill, patience, and a number of other traits. I'm in awe.
I'd hate to get on his bad side, and I'd love to take that thing for a spin. That said, I like the lines of my carrera more.

I'm pretty much floored.
Only thing I wouldn't have done is the 935 front end. Oh, and the superchargers. The thing is probably scary-fast without 'em!

About 15yrs ago, i was driven in a 914 w\a 350 motor in it. Scared the crap out of me. I don't like the body, but that little car will be scary fast. Pretty impressive motor in any car!!

I've been following this engineering marvel for a short while.
I'm just floored every time I see it. Unreal. I need to move next door to this fella.

I think it looks pretty cool. That guy has way to much free time. A month back I saw an early 69 - 73 RSR looking car at Dunkel Bros. It was black and beautiful. The owner put a turbo charger V6 in it and it put out an honest 500 hp. He had the time slips showing quarter miles times in the low 11`s on low boost. There is something to be said about how easy that American iron can put out the HP. Imagine what you would have to do ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) to a turbo motor to get that much horsepower.
