Don't think I'll need it.

I was looking for an old thread of mine and saw this one, and thought I might update it. I finally got all the wiring sorted out in the engine bay - several of the wires coming out of the harness have been replaced, so they're not factory colours anymore. But I did finally get the oil temperature sender wired up correctly, and indeed I don't need additional cooling. In the week that I've had it wired up, I haven't seen temps much above 80 C (175 F), and that includes some spirited driving. Now, outside temps haven't been that hot - mostly in the mid to high 20s (high 70s, low 80s) but in this weather with the 2.4 or the 2.0 I would usually see at least that, and 90 with some fun driving. I would regularly see 100-110 on a hot day, and even occasionally 120 at the track. So I think I'm ok for oil cooling as it is.

I still need to tune the carbs, but man, the car is so much fun with this transplant :)

Christien, found this old thread of yours. Thanks for the write up, it will help a bunch in my upcoming project!
