Base 993 50k miles or 993 4S 87k miles?

Just wanted to get a general consensus of which car makes more sense to buy. I can get a 1997 993 blue/cashmere 51k miles or 1997 993 4S with 87k miles. Basically everything else is equal between the cars, both had the recent valve jobs done that they all need, good maintenance histories, etc. I like the look of the 4S and know that later down the line it will hold its value more but am worried about the high mileage. Any thoughts? Thanks guys

The 4S shares alot of Turbo features such as brakes front spoiler and if I´m not mistaken the wider stance at the rear. The Carrera2 is also a great car. I think both will hold their money well so for me the question would be what one would I like to drive. I personally prefer the C2from driving feeling which the C4 misses slightly through the 4wheel drive.

87K is not high mileage for a 993. Just get a PPI on either one you decide to go with. I've had 3 993s and the C4S was my favorite by far.

I bought a 4S a few months ago and haven't looked back. It's a fantastic 911. 87k miles is nothing to be concerned about. The premium price is worth it for the wide body, turbo brakes and turbo bumper.

Not sure why you say they all need valve jobs. My 95 993 with 82K has no issues that indicate any work on the valve train being required. Maybe what you are refering to was done before I got mine.

Have you familiarized yourself with the known issues of both cars?
I ask, because it doesn't sound as though, predicated upon your post.
Please take some time to acquaint yourself, in order to mitigate any surprises down the road.
