What Scheel Seat?
Does anybody know of a resource/catalog that covers the Scheel seats of the 1960s/70s? Specifically I am interested in identifying the seat I own (see picture), but more generally I would like to know of all the models used by Porsche during that time.
Thanks ![]() |

Nice looking seat. There was a thread started recently by a guy that restores Recaro's. He has old Recaro brochures so perhaps he may have something for Scheel's? Search for "Recaro" and you should find it.

500S seat , Model 5 headrest. But with a non-standard covering. What you see above (listed model 5601) is the norm for a cover on a 500S.

It doesn't look like a 500 to me but it's hard to tell from that one crappy picture...

That's called the Scheel Model 200. Great seats. More compact than the 400/500 series. I am restoring a set for my bmw 2002 now. These were a factory option on BMW's... maybe Porsche too. Also came in the RS200 Ford Escorts.
