Clutch Occasionally Sticks
I am now about 6 months into Porsche ownership and completely love my car. I think my wife is occasionally jealous, when boxes arrive from Pelican Parts, and she asks "another present for your baby?"
I have addressed all major issues, and now I am just down to questions and minor annoyances. My latest is this: If I haven't driven the car for a few days, and/or it gets cold, I have noticed that when I take it out, for the first few minutes the clutch pedal does not return properly. On two or three occasions I have had to pull it up with my foot or my hand. Then after a few minutes, it behaves fine. I considered adjusting the tension on the pedal, but my concern is that the tension is actually fine once I get driving, and I didn't want to make the clutch more stiff, or address one problem with an incorrect remedy. Any advice? Is this common? FYI - Here is my car: A Proud New Owner (w/ pics)

My car did that when I first bought it. The oil seal for the transmission is leaking. The clutch disk is getting oil soaked. The sticking is even worse in cold weather. The only cure is a new seal, & clutch job. It might be the engine main bearing seal, but the solution is the same, clutch job.
