Happy Belated 1st Birthday
Well I picked up this 1985 Porsche 911 and imported it on July 1, 2010!
For those that don't know the story... Here is the Cole's Notes Version. It was listed and titled as 84 - So it got imported with no duty. Everything I checked showed it was an 85 and was factory ordered "turbo look". Had it inspected etc. When I went to register it, it came up as 85, so they changed it on ICBC records and registered and licensed it as an 85! Drove great... high mileage... lots of oil leaks... Then poof... tons of smoke... The poof... after a day of freaking out... it was gone... Ever since then, it is my summer to and from work daily driver. Take it pretty easy on the car... Still leaks a lot... just stay on top of checking oil... When I win the lottery... I will rebuild! This is my 5th 911... It is my fav!

When I win the lottery...
Drive down to Seattle to see Mr. Walker.
Leave him my car and the Visa. Rebuild and make perfect. Install the Turbo Tie Rod kit. Get the Turbo Brake Upgrade. (Don't know why it wasn't already on the car) Fly back and pick it up. |

If it has the turbo-look factory option, then it was delivered new with 930 turbo brakes. Likely a prior owner recognized the value of those parts and decided to keep them before selling the car.
