S-Caliper Rebuild Question
Hey Guys!
My Front S-Caliper has a plate witch connects brake line to the caliper and it attached with 4 bolts =see between arrows= to the caliper with the possible O-Ring GASKET inside. My question is what is the part number for this O-Ring GASKET? The ATE Rebuild Kit 901-351-998-00-M4 DOES NOT include it. Also, If someone has pic of the S-Caliper with open lid, please post. http://www.pelicanparts.com/more_info/Customer_Comment_Images/1318344136-1900.jpg Thank you. -Youri |
I would ask the brake guru, Eric Shea
Brake Restoration Service He can help you with parts questions, not just restored calipers. |
+1 on Eric Shea.

Here you go Youri.
I've got the back plate off. You can see the 4 bolts that hold the plate on the caliper body, and the interior of the caliper. You should note the channel on the caliper body with the O-ring that seals the back plate and keeps fluid from running out. The back plate also has the knock-back post on it. Sorry for the late reply, I was off @ RRIV. Cheershttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1318822945.jpg |
I bought a bagful of O ring seals made in EPDM for this application - send me a PM with an address and I will post you a couple.

Stoddard has the O ring for the end cap, SIC-351-999-00, fits 1969-1973 911S.

Thank you guys so much!!!!
You are the best!!! Do you know by the chance that is the torque for those bolts? Also, do you have any advice how to clean S-Caliper Aluminum surface? It looks like I need some sort of chemical solution... Thank you in advance. ;) -y |

I doubt you're still looking but for others that might be...
Those should be 12.9 fasteners and spec is anywhere from 13-15lbft. I always go 15 on an X patern. The seal is a 52x3 in EPDM Check the lip on that cover as they often have corrosion or chunks missing from DAPO's cramming a screwdriver in there to get the cover off. |
Thank you.. :-)

Sorry... 51x3
