Need SC valance advice from the brotherhood...

I am putting a new valance on my 1983 SC Targa. It is being freshly painted. I just can't bear to put those bulky fog lights back on. Here's the dilemma:

First, I never mount a front license plate, so without the fogs, the valance might look "empty". My guy in the body shop has suggested flush mounting a pair of small 2" PIAA lights into the valance.

What do you think? Would this look nice, or would I be "ricing" my beautiful SC?

Thumbs up Clean

I would say leave it clean. A chin spoiler w/o fogs or plate looks great.

It'll look fine without fogs and a plate. If you add flush mount lights to the front make sure they do something. I have looked at some of the lights that they are making these days and it seems that most of them won't add anything extra to the headlights and are there mostly for the kids who want to look cool. If you are in an area and have a need use the stock fogs or get some you can flush mount, or get a pair of really good driving lights that'll out-distance the headlights.

I just riveted a pair of 3x4 aluminum plates over the holes for the fog lamps and painted them along with the rest of the valence.

Garage
i never used my fog / driving lights so they are in a box in the garage along with most of my AC stuff. I also have a Porsche crest brase plate on the front. My goal is to fab some brake ducts where the holes for the fog lights are.

As Jack demonstates, cleaner is better.

All I have is a side view. The others are on my computer at home. I'll post a pic later. Here is the side view.
