Need Opinions on Nardi wheel (pics inside)...

I've always wanted a Nardi wood wheel, since I saw one on a Carrera about 10 years ago....always liked the silver since then, but just found a black one as well - need opinions: Black or Silver?

Car is a 1985 Guards Red Turbo-look Cabriolet with black interior.

Thanks!

Two more things;

If anyone has pics of either installed, much appreciated!!

These are 360mm wheels - any thoughts on size? Looks to be about 3/4" smaller than the stock raised hub wheel. I don't expect a significant difference, but interested in thoughts asthetically as well. The next size up looks to be a 390mm, which is about 3/4" larger than stock wheel.

Well, I think the black will better fit the look of an '85 than the silver, but I think more important than the spoke color is the rim material. I think leather wrapped would be better than wood unless you're talking about a long hood.

Hey Steve, do you know what the model name is of this wheel? I like it, and it has a red stitching that would complement the exterior Guards paint... I can't quite make out the watermark where you found the pic.

Thanks!

Here it is.
Amazon.com: Nardi Sport Rally 330mm Deep Corn "Suede" Steering Wheel: Automotive

Would look great in your car. The wood wheels don't go as well with the impact bumper cars imo.

Edit: this one is suede not perferated.

Agreed. The wood rim wheels just dont look right. The perforated Nardi is sharp and has a retro look. I htink it would look great. I my get one myself.

Yep, stupid name, "Deep Corn". Apparently, comes in 330mm and 350mm.

Here's mine - I kind of think that wood rims are out of place on newer cars, but that's just me.

A couple things to keep in mind - the Nardis are great, but they're a good bit more expensive than the Momo products, and a good bit harder to find. That goes for hubs and horn buttons.

Also, I found that getting an extender for mine made it much more comfortable to use. I no longer have to have gorilla arms to reach the wheel.

You would need an adapter (look on ebay) to put a nardi wheel on your momo hub.
The Nardi bolt pattern is wider and 30 degrees offset from the Momo pattern.
