All-
Over the last several weeks I have been trying to locate a wur for my (1980 SC) euro spec WUR # 0438 140 069. If I cannot find an 069 then I could use an 090 or 072. My intention here is to not spam the forum, but I need your help. I am trying to get my 911 back on the road ASAP. If you have or know someone who has a WUR that they can part with I would appreciate your help. Even if you could point me in the right direction it would help. I could use any of the following WUR numbers in this order:
I will also post this to the wanted board as well- thanks for your help. |

I did not notice earlier that your engine is a Euro. If this car has not been federalized and has the OEM fuel distributor you will need a -069 or -089 WUR.
I have a rebuilt -089 in stock if interested.

Just to throw out a little bit of advice from personal experience. I had problems with my engine running. We went around and around trying to figure out what was wrong and why we couldn't get it running right. We kept coming back to the WUR. In the end, we went through THREE WURs, each from reputable places, until it was finally fixed. But, don't think we went through three in a row! We got one, figured all was good - but still problems. So, we tried a bunch of other things, just to try another WUR. THree times! But, finally the WUR it was and it took three. So, be careful and don't think because you get a WUR and your problems are not solved that your problem is something else.
FWIW, my car would get too rich at higher RPMs and they couldn't adjust it to be right at low RPM and higher RPM. It was one or the other. Finally, a proper working WUR solved it all. Jay |

...... which is why I only sell rebuilt WURs. Used WUR's are cores as they may not function any better than the used one on your car.

Thanks everyone...
I appreciate the knowledge that you all have had around helping me out. I did buy an 090 from a member on this board. So far so good-
As I mentioned earlier, my SC is a euro model and as far as compatibility the 090 works well in place of the 069. I hope that this info will help someone out in the future. |
